The diesel engine generator was having an increased level of operational vibration which lead to an internal rod and eventual crankshaft failure as well as a few other machinery items when it came apart. |
| Solution: |
The original concrete foundation was severely oil and fuel saturated and the OEM mounting fabrication was weakened by this degradation. We restored the operational integrity of the machines concrete foundation and support of the OEM fabrication by using our Chockfast Red epoxy grout. This product supports all facets of the foundation restoration and maintenance of equipment alignment. The use of the epoxy grout reduced the machines restoration downtime. This machine now runs at vibration levels far below the operators expectations. |
